I really hope John Mayer gets rid of that drawl on his next album. It's distracting sometimes. I think he's a talented songwriter (and very talented guitarist and performer), but wow, can his vocals be annoying! [Edited 6/11/05 20:36pm] | |

the guy is growing on me and i'll probably buy his next album...doesnt hurt that he is pissed at Rob Thomas for putting wendy's guitar playing upfront (in the mix) over his playing..  Space for sale... | |

[Edited 6/11/05 20:36pm]  I heard this cat on Leno and he can do some decent Blues if he loses the drawl like you said VC. Also, he can play the guitar quite well. I don't know if he'll get up to my boy Steve Ray Vaughn status but give him some time.[Edited 6/24/05 2:59am] | |

[Edited 6/24/05 2:59am] I'm pretty sure Stevie Ray is one of John's musical idols. He also talked a lot about the Police on his dvd commentary.. I want to marry him. Something about him I just love. I haven't noticed what a great guitar player he is (everyone seems to think so); but I just dig him. I like the raspy vocals, but then again, I like Tori.  He is very self aware that he makes stupid faces and has a breathy voice..
I have all of his albums and I adore them. | |
