does this count as a claim to fame lol, in glasgow last night BONO......

went to see U2 at hampden park in glasgow last night after the gig (which was awsome) i was taking a short cut away from the stadium when the cops stopped me and about 10 other peeps from crossing the road , next thing two motorbike cops followed by a black people carrier approach with lots of screaming around !!! i'm thinking maybe its the band and hey presto ,.... exactly as the motorbike cops slowed to take the corner so did the people carrier, it then stopped for a plit second and Bono opened the door bout 10/12 inches and said hi !!! then sped off into the night !!! he definetely spoke to me , lol !! anyway the other people were all saying "he was talking to me !", "no it was me " etc etc lol...

so my org friends am i cool ? 50,000 peeps and Bono spoke to me ! cool

Nice one Danny. Glad U2 were good. I never went after the elevation tour (thought it was crap), but I seem to have missed out here.

Any chance you can get your mate bono to play again soon lol

I've got all of U2's albums and I saw them in 93' at Celtic Park. I was disappointed with the show but I did fancy the Elevation tour because it was in an arena, couldn't get tickets so I really wanted to see this one since I loved the two DVD’s the band released from the Elevation tour.

Again I felt disappointed, I feel that stadium gigs are a bit of a rip off. The sound was poor and the show lacked continuity. I’ve learned my lesson, I’ll only go to see them again if it’s in an arena. That’s my opinion… anyway.

First time seeing U2 in concert and I was impressed. I can imagine it being much better in an arena though. The lighting and effects didn't really work in broad daylight, but much better during the encores. Our seats were crap (side-on to the stage by the pitch) so we stood at the back on the first tier to get a better view.
Anyway, back to the question.....Nice one, Danny thumbs up!

I finally saw U2 on their PopMart tour way back whenever it was, after having been a fan for some years.

I haven't got a ticket for this tour, purely for financial reasons, but I keep hearing weird stuff..

E.g. my mate is going and his mate turned his nose up and gave it the old "Don't get me started on how much I hate that band...." plus my wife's best friend had tickets to see them....and gave them away to go down the pub instead! nuts

U2 are such a great live act, these kind of reactions just confuse me completely...
