If You Could Put Together Your Own 'HMBOMT' Someone on another thread mentioned that they should pick a specific period in music and have all the bands compete. For instance, a group from the late 70's (The Knack) wouldn't have to compete against one from the 90's (Haddaway). So, if you could have your own fantsay show of who you'd like to see on "Hit Me Baby One More Time," who would it be? Please limit your choices to only 5 artists. I'll go first:
BERLIN MISSING PERSONS BLACK BOX SHAKESPEAR'S SISTER RUPAUL (You can tell I have been thinking about this ever since watching the first episode, huh? Your turn...)

Uh, NICK715, in regards to Martha Wash/Black Box... No shit Sherlock! Have you seen the new Men At Work lately? It's Colin Haye fronting a band of studio musicians! So your remark about MY choice, is forgiven, Remember, this thread is about your fantasy episode. If you wanted to post a list of dead artists, bands that weren't bands (Milli Vanilli), or even ones that there's no way in hell they'd reform (Shakespear's Sister) -- it's your perogative. Inferring someones choices are dumb isn't.
I thought Martha Wash fronting BB was ingenius and she made some of her best dance music then. I'd like to see what they could do now. Hence MY choice.

Berlin Missing Persons Wall of Voodo The Cult Duran Duran are too successful for this show! Their new album may not have sold great, but the tour was (and still is) extremely successful. That's like saying Prince should do this show! [Edited 6/11/05 8:40am]

Because groups like Cameo for example have sucessful tours however lackluster albums sales. [Edited 6/11/05 8:45am]

That's like saying Prince should do this show! Techinically, there's no way you can possibly compare Duran's and P's success. Prince was not only able to generate tour sales but album sales as well. Therefore, it would be more feasible for a group like Duran to due a show like this to sell more albums and not get dropped from their major label deal.
