So I'm going to see The Pixies tomorrow.....

but the question is, will I enjoy it? I know many of you have seen The Pixies before, so perhaps you can give me your opinion of how they are live. smile

Take it from a fan who has seen them at least 5 times from 1990-92 & just a week ago, you'll have a blast. They're better live then on record.don't be afraid to pogo.I did just on one song(getting old)..

i saw them last winter and i was very, very happy with the show. once they start, they just launch into song after song after song with barely a pause in between. they give a great, great performance - i can't wait to see them again at lollapalooza this summer!

You won't be disappointed at all. Seeing them was way better than any reunion show should be. You'll love it.

Oh man, that was such a great show! woot!

Despite having gone alone and not mingling with the clique-ish crowds, the deterrence of outside beverages when their shit is $5 and over, and the goddamn insects buzzing all around me, I had a great time. smile

LCD Soundsystem was kinda cool, although my only disappointement was when they did my favorite track of theirs about Daft Punk playing at their house. They changed the key and sped the tempo which made it sound almost entirely different.

Interpol was the shiznite! They were rocking out their tunes with cigs hanging out their mouths looking hipster chic. They played all my favorite tracks (Obstacle 1, Evil, Narc, etc.) and some ones that I hadn't heard before that caught my interest as well. But I will say that the bassist, Carlos D. stands out to me more than the lead singer. But that's just me. wink

And then, The Pixies came on at about 10PM. It was great. Most of their stuff was from the first 3 albums, which I liked. I was singing along to all their hits (Debaser, Gigantic, Monkey Gone to Heaven, Here Comes Your Man, Allison, Bone Machine, Where is my Mind?, etc.). It was so cool. And I even took a couple of pics as well. I was all the way up in the mezzanine which should've pissed me off, but pleased me more so because I didn't have to deal with the crowd. Besides, they had 2 big screens in the theater anyways, so I couldn't miss them anyways.

Great show! thumbs up!

I took the E train and 2 buses to get there. Pretty long trip, but it saved me a whole lot of money.
