Ella - Off the Record

Ella: Off the Record by Dyke Garrison
The Life and Music of Ella Fitzgerald

Directed by Rob Ruggiero

Conceived by Rob Ruggiero and Dyke Garrison
Musical Direction and Arrangements by Danny Holgate

June 17 through August 7, 2005

The year is 1966 and Ella Fitzgerald invites a combo of her favorite musicians to jam with her at a Los Angeles studio. As the session unfolds, we meet the singer as we've always wanted to know her. Swept along by a cascade of her best loved music, we experience Ella's emotional highs and lows as she breaks through to a celebration of living. Don’t miss vocal powerhouse Tina Fabrique singing Ella Fitzgerald's most famous hits including: "How High the Moon", "Our Love is Here to Stay", "They Can't Take That Away From Me", "That Old Black Magic", "Cheek To Cheek", "Blue Skies", and many more.
