I was just surprised, cuz of the other 2 I've given time to - Hounds of Love and Never For Ever, I really became attached to those quite quickly. It's funny cuz The Dreaming was the first one I bought. Good thing it wasn't the first one I listened to or else I might've given up on her right then and there! It's partly the arrangements that get me. It's very cinematic in places (try Pull Out The Pin over headphones to see what I mean) and the vocal work is just astonishing. She tries a different vocal approach for almost every song. Check the title track.... she even tries to sing like a didgeridoo. It's a very brave album in many ways. Art at it's most self-indulgent? Sure. But it's one hell of a trip. If you like Bjork at her most bizarre, I fail to see how you couldn't eventually grasp this one, too. Good luck. Well said....you hear things in her music using headphones you wouldn't normally hear. I will do today what you won't, so tomorrow I can do what you can't.

Just make sure you're wearing ear muffs if the dance remix comes on. HORRIBLE! Cloudy, I'm armed and ready so don't get nasty. What's with all the hate for this remix? I kinda like it looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

That's about the only way I've listened to her. Almost always at night in bed with headphones.

The Dreaming? No. Can't remember how any of it goes. Just an overall impression.
