I recently got a Korean Strat and replaced the stock bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucker. The difference in sound is night and day. I get the best of both worlds - that funky strat single coil sound and the added firepower of the hot rails.

Yup, the Gibson Les Paul is a damn heavy instrument..which is bad news for me as I am a round-shouldered Quasimodo-in-the-making at the best of times. Many more years of gigging with this weight around my neck and I'll be able to touch the floor with my nose whilst I am playing! Great guitars though, a real beautiful instrument  | |
