Where is the moderator! What is this, a joke! I truly believe this is the first time in ORG history that some brave soul has written or spoke of such a group!

I give you props, but I do believe the state of Arizona still has the firing squad as an option for the death penalty. I recommend you go visit there and post this thread.

You are a serious badass for believing in your tastes (which you obviously do) and then staying downright pleasant in the face of all the heckling, which right now I'm trying to stay out of! Bad hecklers! Good person! Bad Taste!!

Thats true. I hope no one takes anyone seriously on here. Its just something to pass the time. But I feel people hold back a lil' sometimes. I know people in real life who say New kids "the right stuff" was a good song, they dont care. But others got a reputation to keep I guess?

Yeah, I'm sure we're real concerned about keeping up a repuation on a message board. Give us a little more credit, thanks.

Have you ever thought about the possibility that, to a majority of people, NKOTB were, are, and always will be, shit?

Yes. Most people I know, know that too, but they at least like 1 song. And u laughing about them being better then early new editon? Since when were u into new edition?

If u were all teenagers on here, I would expect the hate, but really ? I was just hoping for a few more positive responses.

Ok, well, you didn't get 'em. Live with it, and don't go around accusing people of things. Why are you so shocked that adults who thought they were a complete joke then, still think they're a complete joke now?

The New Kids' music isn't all bad. Mostly, sure, but not all. lol

Please Don't Go Girl
The Right Stuff
I'll Be Loving You
Step by Step

Those were all decent songs. I think Please Don't Go Girl, even though it wasn't their biggest hit, is the only tune of theirs that's retained any sort of classic status. I'd rather not hear Cover Girl, Tonight or Hangin' Tough ever again. I do think when they first came out they were on par with New Edition, and Maurice Starr obviously knew they had potential to be just as big as New Edition. Jordan Knight's voice was better than anyone in New Edition, however, voice alone isn't enough.

On the whole, New Edition had better production and catchier songs so I like them more. NKOTB as an entire group became a joke and, fortunately for New Edition, only Bobby Brown really made a joke of himself. His presence was not missed when he left; Johnny Gill had a better voice and was more likeable. It wasn't so much New Kids' music that became a joke (though there are exceptions to that) as it was their "street" image. They're an easy target from a pretty forgettable era in music, so they get a lot of flack.

thanx riphertoshreds. At least u dont rip the music I like to shreds.

Good to see u like "step by step". As I love writing pop songs for my lil' group, songs like that help me. Its a good example in how to create an addictive suger rush pop song.

Its NE's early production that throws me off at times. "candy girl" has the cheesiest keyboards, but then NKOTB's early work was little better. With that simplitic casio sound mad

Jordans voice had luckily matured when NKOTB started unlike lil' ralphs or the horrid bivans. Though bobby sounded good, which is why I like "mr telephone man"

New editon gotta drop more albums. Though they were everywhere, separately in 1990-1992. It was bizarre. Bobby was not missed, but it was good to see him on "home again" though.
