The Future Embrace - Solo Billy at last ^^

I didn't see a topic for this, but I apoligize in advance if it's been done.

This album has been building up my anticpation for nearly a year. As I listened from track to track, My forgotten love of Billy's work once again came to the forefront of my mind.

The album is different from any smashing pumpkins album. This time, the voice of Billy is backed by an ambient synth sound. This facet may be the deciding factor on the yay or nay of this album.

Plus! A guest vocal on track #4, by Robert Smith himself, fulfills a musical fantasy mine.

Was there any point to my post? ^^;;

Tell me more about it please, does it sound anything like
"eye" or "destination unknown" ? I mean, in that it's ehm
synth laden and applies technology and such.

Or is it more like "Here's to the Atom Bomb" with songs
driven by drum machines and fleshed out with some real
instruments. melodic and very catchy?

And are there perhaps songs on it like "Rotten Apples",
where he just plucks an acoustic guitar and sings your
soul into a slumber?

Very much like "EYE" and "DESTINATION UNKNOWN" with synths and tech. Minimal real instruments. The songs r very melodic at times and after a few listebs ur hooked. Overall its much better than I thought it would be. Thats just my opinion cos i prefer the adore era of the pumpkins.
