Well sorta. So is marky marks "good vibrations". But its called hip-house as the verses are hiphop whilst the beats are house (u know what Iam trying to say)

Hiphop the beats are rnb (well since newjack they are)

Freedom raps throught most the song. So its a rap song mad

And another thing... lol

It's one thing to choose a Hammer track as your top rap song.

It's another thing for said Hammer track to be "This Is The Way We Roll". shake

The remix kicks ass. Plus the video is my fav ever too. The dancing is incredible. But the single bombed. The dancing beats any of that retard looking line dancing ciara "1,2 step" nonsence. Look at "too legit to quit" video. The moves he does are quite the same as ciaras.

1. New Jack Hustler -- Ice T (This is a fucking great narrative. Lyrics are tight. Better than anything Eminem to write. I can listen to this song over and over again.).

2. White Lines - Grandmaster Flash "Sumthin like a phenomenon, baby."

3. Ride Wit Me/# 1 - Nelly (#1 is a well penned lyric.)

4. Straight Outta Comptom/Fuck the Police - NWA (Ice Cube was the sh!t. He wrote most of the g-damned album! I don't endorse this lifestyle or want to see it glorified. But I viewed this debut album as a musical documentary of sorts)

5. People Everyday/Mr. Wendal- Arrested Development

"Until a group of brothas started buggin' out. Drinking the 40 ounce. Goin' the nigga route, disrespecting my black queen, holding their crotches and being obsence... At first I ignored them cuz see I know the type: they got drunk, they got guns, and they wanna fight. They see a young couple having a time that's good and their egos wanna test a brutha's manhood... mad "

Honorable Mention: "How You Like Me Now"/Wild Wild West - Kool Moe Dee

It's funny...I actually know and love a LOT of rap music. But for some reason I rarely post about it on the org. Maybe a lack of threads. It's rare that I love a rap album all the way through, but I have shitloads of compilations I've made of stuff I like. This thread is making me wanna dig 'em out. I really like that unreleased Foxy Brown from a few years back. Maybe I'll start with that. biggrin

Hey there are 2 versions of this. A slower original, and a faster remix.

I like the remix.
