Ok that answer makes more sense then the last one you made, but this is just my opinion I think she's singing about her own experiences, not saying that she doesn't have friends or acquantances that are like that. No she didn't go back and forth in the song, stead she keeps singing about a girl and then at the end changes to a boy. All I'm saying is if I don't go that way I DEFINITELY would've changed the line to boy instead of girl. When Rod Stewart was singing it he was a guy singing a song about a woman. Janet is a woman that should've been singing the song to a man.

Here's a prime example: For years people have speculated that Luther Vandross is gay, put he has never denied it or confirmed it. On his album titled Songs (a compilation of cover songs)he sang "All the Woman I Need" remaking Whitney Houston's All the Man that I Need. He could've left the song alone and kept it Man that I need, but he didn't he changed it to Woman. Same thing with Whitney folks have speculated over and over that she is a lesbian, but is she singing All the Woman, No, she said Man. Janet was singing about her own freaky experiences I don't care what she said in that interview. She was coming out to us in that song.

But, also, Janet has made it a point in her interviews to say that "The Velvet Rope" as a whole can mean many different things to many people. A lot of the themes on the album are left open-ended, so for you "Tonight's The Night" may've been about "bisexuality," but for someone else it could just be a night where the rules between "who" you love are blurred under the guise of darkness.

for example, I haven't seen Janet all over women in a video, but I have seen Christian Aguilera get close and personal with girls in her Dirrty video. There are different levels for everyone
