i still need to get this.

"passion" is a great album. i remember buying it when it first came out and going to sleep listening to it every night.

i've always wanted to get the "passion sources" companion CD...anyone have that?

I'm not a huge fan of Peter Gabriel's, but this album really is stunning. I've not listened to it in some time, though it was my beddy-bye music for a very long while. It was also the inspiration for Madonna's Blonde Ambition re-working of Like a Virgin.

I like Passion, but not as much as So or Melt. Biko and Games Without Frontiers alone is worth the price. Kate Bush is on Games Without Frontiers which is a plus.

I've always wanted to get this album - interesting to see it getting props.

I'm not sure what it's called - 'Zaar', I think - but I LOVE the track that's on PG's 'Shaking The Tree' compliation.

i thought this was going to be about Stephen Sondheim's musical.

This album cannot get enough praise. It is, to me, true spirit music, true Christian music, in the tradition of A Love Supreme.

"A Different Drum," to me, captures the essence of Christ.

I am not a huge Peter Gabriel fan, but this is one of the greatest albums of its time.

This is great too All Gabriel's stuff is worth getting,especially 'Security".

Just out of interest, what sort of reviews did this album receive when it was released?

As I recall, the reveiews were good, but being the soundtrack to The Last Temptation of Christ, its release was overshadowed by the controversey surrounding the film. It got very little air play, which is not surprising. I doubt it would have had much air play even if it wasn't a soundtrack, however.
