Anyone want to get funked up this weekend?

There's a couple of cool funk shows happening in the NY/NJ area this weekend.

Fri may 20th Bernie Worrell & The WOO Warriors @ Mexicalli Blues, Teaneck NJ

Sat may 21st The John Hickey Band (Guitarist with WOO Warriors and P-funk) @ the Bitter End, NYC

If haven't made it out to see Bernie, his show is a must see and the John Hickey Band includes players from P-Funk, WOO Warriors, Sly Stone, Cameo, Bootsy and more.

Really should try to make this one. Never seen him live. Too bad it's in Joisey. Anyway, there's a movie: http://www.strangermovie.com/ Will pick this up when it's available.
