sounds like prince... hey ya'll...
i was in a shop the other day and i heard this cd playing...i heard maybe 4-5 tunes...its was pretty lo fi and bedroom musiciany sounding... but obviously a cd thats released...IT sounded exactly like prince...not the quality but the vibe...sorta like erotic city...it was dance music... but i was just interested in hearing more of it even though im not a dance/house music fan...does anyone know of any current artist that are obviously trying to make princly music ???? thanks | |

Har Mar Superstar - Cut Me Up? It doesn't sound like Erotic City, but it has an old MN sound vibe to it. Like from back in the "1999" days. Sounds more like "All the Critics..." to me. [Edited 5/19/05 15:27pm] | |

[Edited 5/19/05 15:27pm] thanks but this is not it either....i did just purchase his record though...two of them...and i do hear loads of prince influence...one tune takes his actual linn LM-1 drum samples (obviously off a prince recording from the 80's and rocks a new wave type 1999 prince groove) its good...thanks 4 the tip.. | |

I was listening 2 the radio the other day and a song called "Don't Cha" by the PussyCat Dolls sounds like Prince from back in the day. I wondered if he had anything 2 do with it although I doubt it. | |
