what kind of merchandise do you buy? hey
I was just curious about this. Do you only spend your money on music or do you somethimes buy merchandise from certain artists as well. if so what artists and what items. (merchandise: items not having any value where music is concerned) I do buy some merchandise from some artists from time to time...But I don't feel the need to have everything that has my 'idols' name printed on it. You won't see me spending 100$ on a hat-box. I don't mind spending money on some decent framed pictures, posters (not that many though, I have only 4 walls), a figurine of some sort from time to time. Or things that are just too tempting to leave in the store (mother theresa breath-mints come to mind - i kid you not!!!) last things I bought: It was not in vain...it was in Minneapolis!

I really don't buy any merchandise. I think it's just the matter of such things not being available for the type of music that I listen to. T-shirts are kind of so-so, but I wouldn't personally wear most band shirts just because they don't look too nice and aren't usually too-well fitting.

Music, not merchandise, for me.

sometimes...ok, usually...i'll get a t-shirt at a concert. sometimes i'll get pins if the t-shirts are too ugly but i still want some kind of souvenir. but that's really about it. about 90% of the stuff they sell at NPGMC retail is stuff i wouldn't want in my home - but if other people get off on hatboxes and symbol-embossed diaries, more power to 'em i guess.

On occasion, I will purchase clothing from a concert or show. I prefer shirts that don't have their faces on it.

Well with Madonna i buy posters, t-shirts, books and stuff only because i worship her and i'm currently trying to find a way that she can become an actual religion and to solely survive on Madonna alone.

Like, I bought this one:
I look like Grimace in it, but whatever. I like the 1982 1999 print on the front.
