deee-lite - dewdrops in the garden (their best-of is good too, if you don't have anything by 'em)
fischerspooner - #1 (odyssey is good too, if you like their first album)
my life with the thrill kill kult - 13 above the night

with sympathy came before 'land of rape & honey'....as did 'work for love', right? that's what i meant. anything UP TO 'rape & honey', which is the last ministry album i thought was actually danceable.

You obviously haven't gotten the Dark-Electro version of Darren's Dance Moves. Else, you'd know how to to shake it to Filty Pig and NiN's "Fixed" album. rolleyes

Not to sound daft or anything, but what's a MILTY?

and Is With Sympathy the album with 'over my shoulder' and 'my possession'? If it is, I liked it an awful lot once upon a time...

you'd have to ask. everyone i knew used to play 'with sympathy' once upon a time. i never was acquainted with the song titles, but if i heard it playing somewhere, i'd know what album it was. the only ministry album i'm really super familiar with is 'land of rape & honey'. beyond that, i know the popular old songs but not much more. i really wanna dig into some old skool ministry sometime soon, though. lotsa memories. nod

'sokay, I stopped being lazy for a sec and looked it up myself. The album I was thinking of was Twitch, the one right before Land of Rape and Honey.

I still love Land of Rape...I used to be mad about the whole Wax Trax/Chicago industrial sound. Most of those bands just sound ridiculous to me now, but Ministry's records from that period hold up really well, I think. Certainly more so than Front 242 or Nitzer Ebb or whoever - those bands seem hopelessly goofy in retrospect...
