"mo ritmo" (1991)

Yeah I was talking about him the other day, but I had my first dj'ing gig at my local art centre sunday (on the graveyard shift). I played mainly hiphop shit like pe and run dmc, but then I dropped rico suave (and hammer), people loved "rico suave". So then I played "when the lights go out", people loved that song too. I didn't even need to mix it or anything.

To tell the truth, I was filling in for my mate. He gave me what to play and mix, but I played some of my shit anyway.

Maybe its a sign of the times. UK do seem more open minded to novalty music then the USA (same with europe). Audeince was getting sick of the modern stuff I was playing (or at least I was). Who wouldn't be? Gerardo is fresh, fun and sweaty to dance to.

That was a song I could take or leave.
