True. Theyve known one another for such long time. He's got to get himself together first though.

yeah. I still dont get it? 1992'a "bobby", an album that

a) came out a year too late
b) Too polished for its own good (it rivaled jacko for being over produced)
c) Obvious bobby worked hard on it
d) it was still a good record

.....yet after 1993 (his unsucsessful but not bad "b brown posse" album he just gave up?

I think he worked very hard on both projects and he just didn't like the results. Particually "bobby", an album, as I already said, just came out too late in the newjack canon. Yeah sure it sold a couple of million, but the delay between that and "dont be cruel" (4 years) suspects bobby wanted a huge hit and he did not get it.

"thats the way love is", the single, came out in 1993. It came out around the same time as Janet HUGE "thats the way love goes" video. Compare the 2 videos. "thats the way love is" is a great newjack stomper, but the video was mega cheap and tacky. and next to janets song, it looked bloody weak. Bobby deserved more of a budget then the one he got. Plus the song just seemed outdated next to janets then innovative song.

I did like "Thats The Way Love Is". I had forgotten about it until u mentioned it. NE is touring this summer with Brian McKnight and Gerald Levert. Im gonna get my tickets. Ive never seen them live before. I love their colective catalouge. They are so underappreciated.

Best voice eek eek eek

If this is true why did Babyface NEED to layer his own voice everywhere to hide that Bobby cant sing.

Bobby Brown & Paula Abdul were both exposed after Milli Vinilli were nailed!

Listen to the Dont Be Cruel album again, Babyface used that album as his calling card as a producer to hide that the artist wasn't 1/4 as good as the credit he was given.

Babyface did a amazing job blending Bobby's off key voice & his own voice, EVERYWHERE.

Sure, Bobby has the "Diamond Dave" quality of being a great front man, not talent wise.. but in every other way.But with the mic, on stage, no tricks. He is what he is. lol

That makes them sound desperate (especailly considering how the comeback didn't work, mostly I believe because the album's release date kept changing, hint to Motown and how they are screwing around with Stevie). But God knows he could use them!

We'll let me put it this way. If you have seen in concert as much I have then you would know the real deal. Recently, I saw then in concert and they are sounding kind of old and washed up and not as useful as they use to so it would not make a hell of lot of difference if Bobby rejoined.

"Best Voice"

JG is the best singer in the group. That is the truth. JG was born with the natural ability to sing.

Just because Johnny's voice is more ferocious than Ralph's doesnt mean that its better. Ralph has a sweetness, a clarity that Johhny doesnt have as much of. twocents

"do what I gotta do" is so gorgeous. U heard them backing vox. Dreamy. Jam and Lewis always could write superb ballads.

Anyone remember the video with Ralph and Bobby? Good swinger. "stone cold gentleman" is a good song.

The video/12" remix was even better. The video is one of my fav's. Bobby and ralph are 2 undercover private eye's. Good dancing. Good song.

The "sensivity" album (as I call it) had that jacko written tune. "alright with me" I think it was called. It is soooo Jacko is style too.

iam not sure of the story here. If memory is kind, it sounded like a outtake from the "thriller" sessions. But its a nice song, though it does go on 4 too long though.

I think Stone Cold Gentleman and Sensitivity are on N.E. Greatest Hits album. I will always love Bobby Brown's "On Our Own" from the Ghostbusters soundtrack. Remember that one?

letting bobby brown come back would be the worst mistake--all you gotta do is watch the Temptaitions movie and how david ruffin hadn't kicked his dependency problem-depending on a druggie woo-woo to make every night of a tour is just asking for trouble sad

Well, you know what at this stage of the game. They ain't got nuthin to lose since thier album w/Puffy was flop and Bobby is supposed to be doing this reality show. The reality show could serve as good publicity for the band.
