Time for Esther's intervention!!!

From Madonnalicious.com:
It has been confirmed by insiders to madonnalicious that Madonna is indeed working with Mirwais on her new record, that he is at work on new tracks in a London studio and that they are 'very pleased' with the progress to date.

I liked American Life a lot, so it doesn't hurt to know about Mirwais.

Madonna does dance music and that's what Mirwais puts out in his production.

i like Mirwais, and i'm sure his tracks will be fine. but i do hope that he's not doing the majority of the tracks. while i like his sound, and what they've done together, i feel that his production style is just a tad too cold for her. while i like the cold detatchment of Erotica, the music itself had a warmness and richness to it underneath the icy veneer. Mirwais, i think is just too cold to bring out the best in Madonna's style of pop. that's my main complaint with their work together.

This was confirmed by her label a few months ago, and apparently many tracks have already been completed. The only thing that matters is what shows up on the final product, though. Madonna seems to mix and match producers during the making of the album and then decide post-production what's needed and what she can throw out.

Intervention by Madonna.

I got to save my baby
Because he makes me cry
I got to make him happy
I got to teach him how to fly

I want to take him higher
Way up like a bird in the sky
I got to calm him down now
I want to save his life

[Chorus:]

And I know that love will change us forever
And I know that love will keep us together
And I know, I know
There is nothing to fear
And I know that love
Will take us away from here

Sometimes it's such a pleasure
Sometimes I wanna tear it all down
It's easy to be lazy
And hard to go away from the crowd

I know the road looks lonely
But that's just Satan's game
And either way my baby
We'll never be the same

[chorus]

In the blink of an eye everything could change
Say hello to your life, now you're living
This is it from now on
It's a brand new day
It was time to wake up from this dream (from this dream)

I know the road looks lonely
But that's just Satan's game
And either way my baby
You'll never be the same

[chorus]

What would be the worst? Madonna teams with Kayne West. The sample possiblities are endless!

I think Madge should listen to some of Donna DeLory's recent work...(not the early 90s dance stuff, the more spritual records she's putting out)...I love her stuff! I think it would be a nice direction for the evolving of "Esther!"

I love Mirwais. I love Music, American Life, his solo album, and the new Fischerspooner album.

here's the latest update...

So far Madonna has played Warners at least five tracks she already did with Sturat Price. As DrownedMadonna told you back in 2004,Stuart is going to be the main producer of the new album but like 'Music' it might have several collaborators. As for the 5 songs presented to Warners, only two are Mirwais songs. Both songs are dance tracks.Madonna has alot of demos she didn't play for Warners yet because she wants to re-work them. She plans to record all through the summer, that's why alot of the collaborative songs are not done yet.She is planning to record some songs in New York.Once again, insiders talk about plans to release the new album in the first part of 2006

This is good news.I like the fact that she's taking her time, and not rushing this project.By early 2006,just think of how many top-notch songs she will have. And this update basically confirms that Mirwais is not gonna be the "main producer".My guess is that she will only use a few of his dance tracks. The tracks recorded with Stuart are said to be "danceable rock",and I predict that's the direction that she will take for the rest of the album.I'm thrilled.

It's obvious that Mirwais will play a limited role this time around.Madonna doesn't like to repeat herself.Whatever Mirwais submits,it won't sound like 'American Life'.

Exactly. She's known to "change her mind" alot during the recording of an album.Too bad we we may never get a chance to hear those rejected songs!

Stuart is going to be the main producer of the new album

What a relief. His Jacques LuCont remixes are so good. I wonder if he can apply his skills to a ballad, though. There's so much interest in Madonna doing a "dance record," like there was nothing to dance to on American Life.

I've only heard the "Hollywood" remix he did for her.
I don't think he did any other remixes for Madonna, but it was obvious that the remix became bigger than the actual song.

He also remixed "What You Waiting For" for Gwen Stefani and "Just Let Go" for Fischerspooner. He has a distinct sound.
