Partners in Kryme "Turtle power" Haha, what an "awesome" song. Funny lines, funky production, cheesy as hell, catchy chrous. Who the fuck were partners in kryme? In case u have not ear witnessed this track, check the lyrics. Me and my mates knew all the words.....and still do. T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle On a half shell they´re the heroes four In this day and age who can ask for more The crime wave is high with muggings mysterious All police and detectives are furious Cause they can´t find the source Of this lethally evil force This is serious so give me a quarter I was a witness get me a reporter Call April O´Neill in on this case and you better hurry up There´s no time to waste We need help like quick on the double Have pity on the city, man its in trouble We need heroes like the Lone Ranger when Tonto came pronto When there was danger They didn´t say We´ll be there in half an hour Cause they displayed Turtle Power! T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Now our ace reporter was hot on the trail Determined to put these crooks in jail She spied the bad guys and saw what happened But before she knew it she fell in the trap and got caught Yeah she was all alone With no friends and no phone Now this was beyond her WORST dreams Cause she was cornered by some wayward fiends Headed by Shredder they were anything but good Misguided, unloved, they called them the Foot They could terrorize and be angry youth and They loved the people who needed proof Then from outta the dark came an awesome sound Shouted COWABUNGA as they hit the ground From the field the weeds the heroes rescued the flower Cause they possessed Turtle Power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Power When you stand for what you believe in And find the strength to do what´s right That´s Turtle Power Heroes on a half shell they´re on a mission When there´s a battle got the enemy wishin' That they stayed at home instead of fightin' These Ninja Masters with moves like lightnin' They were once normal but now they´re mutants Splinter´s the teacher so they are the students Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Donatello Make up the team with one other fellow Raphael He´s the leader of the group transformed from the norm By the nuclear goop Pizza´s the food that´s sure to please These ninjas are into pepperoni and cheese Back to the story it´s not hard to find Ninjas not just of the body but of the mind Those were the words that the Master instructed But a letter from Shredder has Splinter abducted That was the last straw spring into action Step on the Foot now they´re gonna lose traction Now this is for real so you fight for justice Your shell is hard so you shout They cant dust us off Like some old coffee table Since you were born you been willing and able To defeat the sneak, protect the weak Fight for rights and your freedom to speak Now the villain is chillin' so you make a stand Back to the wall put your sword in your hand Remember the words of your teacher your master Evil moves fast but good moves faster Than light Shining from your illumination Good versus Evil equals confrontation So when you´re in trouble don´t give in and go sour Try to rely on your Turtle Power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power T-U-R-T-L-E power Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Power

I love the drums. It rolls super funky. This and "do the bartman" were the first songs I learnt the words too. [Edited 4/24/05 17:01pm]

[Edited 4/24/05 17:01pm] MAYBE one day u might learn to appreciate real music I don't get the concept of "real" music? I know ur only playing, and none of u want one of my rants do u? Anyway, I respect real music, but I just prefer to dance my ass off and hear something that is not meant to be taken seriously and amuses me somewhat. Having said that, Iam a contradiction as I love the corniest of them all, Mr Michael Bolton. People listen to some quite frankly, cheesy as hell stevie songs, yet diss michael for being cheesy? But as stevie is black (uh oh , is that fair?) and plays instruments, his stuff is not cheese apparantly. Anyway.....

I believe in 1993 or 1994 they did have a lil commercial on Saturday Moring Cartoons sometimes they had this song where they were in a car and the other guy kept asking, "Are we there yet (NO!) Are we there yet (NOO!!)"
it used to be cool. Another one was cool by this girl with braids and this guy with a high top... "We, we can play 2gether U and me, boys and girls forever (oh yeah!) We, respect one another We can do it for eachother No one is better Wee (WE!) we can play 2gether" that song was so damn funky. It had more lyrics but I only remember the chorus. The girl would come on like Michael Jackson and go "i can do what u can do so dont u tell me I cant play baby!" Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

"undercover", their follow that bombed was also a nice track. It's mainly just the production I love. Those heavy treble loving drums. Reminds me of calloways excellent "I wanna be rich" or "sir lancelot". I'll check my turltes vinyl out for credits on who the fuck they were?

there were a few other cute tunes on the album too. Here is a long review I did for the soundtrack. http://www.epinions.com/c...7245687428 It is quite housey in places really. The score with splinter mubling profound diologue over the top is funny. As is the instrumental with the turtles catchphrases randomly thrown at u. I really love the OST. Hey, even epinions, a site that is very serious about reviews, even dug the review itself.

Are you talking about the song or movie...I honestly don't remember this song but I think Vanilla Ice's "Ninja Rap" and Technotronic (not sure the name of their song but I'm pretty sure it never mentioned the Turtles or Ninjas) both had singles from the movies (I think both were on the second verison, though). If you're talking about the movie.... Well you're in the UK. How did it do over there? I know that for a long time it held the title of the biggest grossing indie movie (it's surprising this was an independent movie) released here. With nostolgia in blooom, they have a new Saturday Morning (or depending on where you live. Sunday morning) cartoon show for Turtles. There have been a ton of small DVD releases of the episodes, which are much darker (and the story is different in a lot of major ways...org note for me for spoilers) in tone and the drawings are more sopisticated.

Cool info movie wise. I liked the firt movie and still do today. it has a great "king of new york" dark atmosphere. Loads of dark streets and lighting etc.....surprising for a family movie. Yeah iam surprised it was independant too. What fools the major studios musta felt like after the money came rollling in off these movies. Even the first sequel did well. Though personally the sequel was alot tamer then the more serious first. The soundtracks are great straight up. "ninja rap" was off "turlte 2". awful song. A grundgy music store has the "turtles 2" movie poster. It has a big announement and picture of vanilla ice saying he is in the movie. "awesome" and a head pic of vanilla ice is on the poster. Great poster. I want it.
