Heatwave, "Always And Forever"

I'm sure many of you remember this jam. Man, it is awesome. It's simply beautiful and the breakdown as well as the last few seconds with the gentle violins are classic.

nod Wow, this was a classic 70's slow jam. They don't write like that no more.

music "Always And Forever Each Moment With You."

Great slow jam. It's the very first song on my slow jam tape that I put in when I have a certain "type" of company over. Many a heathenous activity has taken place with that song playing in the background. evillol

Although a great tune, it only rivals...dare I say...Stairway To Heaven as one of the most overplayed tunes on radio.

Hell yeah. Frankly I almost hate the song at this point. Whether it's Heatwave's version, Luther's version, Whistle's version... It's seriously overplayed.

When I was a teenager - 1986 and 87 - I used to go to a local dance club. All night the music was house (Chicago), but at the end of the night "Always and Forever" would come on. Since the music was fast all night, this was the only chance to hold on to somethin.

I'd rather hear "Star Of A Story","Happiness Togetherness" or "Sho Nuff Must Be Love" music

So true about being right on the heels of Zep's track. But, man, I've always dug this song. Grew up on it. Don't like the other cover versions, though. Although Luther has a great voice and it's a great song, it's just something about his take of it, that leaves me,... blah. I'm so attached to Heatwave's cut from when I was little. And man, this has got to be, and I say this with a loving heart, the ANTHEM for American Latinos. Man, this is their song, the old schoolers. At least in So. Cal.
