If I could only have one 80-minute disc of music for the rest of my life, "Julia" would be on it. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! I know they hadn't hit their commercial stride yet, but that's still my favorite album of theirs. It's just so unique and intriguing.

No need for that. I wasn't meaning to come off as a know-it-all, but I honestly can't find fault with that album. well, i guess i mean that i consider myself to have some kind of history with appreciating the eurythmics, and while there are a lot of songs and videos and performances of theirs from the early days that are absolutely indispensible to me, there are a lot of albums that, as a whole, are kinda "eh" to me. i've always considered them more of a singles band than an album-based band...with some notable exceptions, which i think differ from fan to fan. but i think that's the mark of a good artist. take prince, for example, and the wide range of likes and dislikes people list on this site all the time.

You are right. Like Prince, at least Eurythmics have enough variety where favorites can vary. Personally, I love all 9 of their studio albums and can understand any one of them being the choice as favorite. As we all know though, "favorite" and "best" aren't necessarily the same thing. As with Prince there are a few which are pretty undeniably great, and I'd put Sweet Dreams in that class. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018!
