I haven't heard it yet but has gotten good reviews sofar, apparently his best since Beautiful Freak.

I will definitely get it, already have ticks for his show next month!

E is a fucking song-writing genius.....does anyone agree?

oh yeah. eels are AMAZING. i am really looking forward to this disc. i haven't heard anything at all from it yet.

it's a double disc concept album about the meaning of life. probably just a bunch of filler.

i love everything eels have done. everything. they don't have a single rotten album. my least favorite is their first album, and i even like that one. a new album by them is always something to look forward to.

And you're right, eels has never released an album that is bad or so-so.....

Yesss. I've had it for weeks and it's growing and growing. it will most likely become one of my favourite Eels albums! Although i do consider all of his albums as masterpieces (well actually, Shootenanny i haven't learned to adore as much as others...)
But he is genius. Small but very meaningful music.

i think eels are hitting europe first before touring the states. i can't wait to hear them live with the strings set-up i've been reading about...sounds like i won't see 'em till fall though.

Finally have the album....and it's great, very personal....best work since Electro Shock Blues! Can't wait for the show!

definitely better than Shootenanny, and also very different. 'Shootenanny' was his return to rocksongs, 'Blinking Lights...' is way more introspective, more personal.

i have this CD on my ipod and i've heard most of the songs on shuffle but haven't really listened thru the whole album yet. but from what i can tell, it's probably one of the best of his career.
