The Classic work of D'angelos Brown Sugar Album I wish some artist could keep the hunger they have as they did when they first came out. I've been listening to D'angelo first released album and imo it was purrfection. Just a classic piece of work from a talent musician. I do believe there's some kind of conspiracy and good artist like D'angelo get caught up in some strange system. What y'all think ?
Brown Sugar Edit [Edited 4/12/05 3:07am] John 3:16-20 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Brown Sugar Edit [Edited 4/12/05 3:07am] What happens in some cases is that artists are nurtured until they produce golden eggs, and then they are put in positions where even the most talented people couldn't be inspired to produce quality work.

Yep, I agree. While I like Brown Sugar very much, Voodoo is beyond that and is so much more inventive and interesting.

What sort of contract did Dangelo sign where he can debut in 95 and release another CD in 2000 and nothing since? He has to be the least productive artist
who's still living. There are dead artist with more CD's out since the've pat on. Which is really unfortuante. In my opinion out of all the NEW soul singers out there R Kelly,Usher,Musiq,Bilal, even Anthony Hamilton. None of them can hold a candle to Dangelo vocally.

I'll have to agree. I was dying to hear what was coming next. Not knowing I already heard it..... nothing.
