I don't wanna completely jack this thread, but I just read an article the other day and some guy bought Ralphie's house in Cleveland and is going to turn it into a museum dedicated to the film. smile

hmmm Now, that's deep. I think where that movie was shot was on the Westside of Cleveland.

OMG. I just saw it on TV last weekend...really late at night. I got sucked in when I saw it had Sheila E in it. It's my new favorite movie.I've been telling everyone at work about it!

BTW, just because someone has never heard of it or seen it before doesn't mean they're young...they could have grown up in a cultural wasteland (e.g. on a farm in Iowa) like me biggrin
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

i dont know if i believe that... how could they dedicate a house to a movie that wasnt even considered a classic... its a cool movie but the acting was terrible... but the music saved the movie...

Well, believe it, because I live right here in Cleveland, and it has been in the paper AND on the news. I don't think that they would lie about it. smile

What house are you talking about?
Are you talking about Christmas Story? Was that movie filmed in Cleveland? The story takes place in Northwest Indiana close to where I grew up.

Yup. smile I remember watching a show on TV where this movie was being discussed. From what I remember, parts of the movie were filmed in Cleveland, Ohio (where they show the Terminal Tower, the parade and some other scenes). The other parts must have been filmed in Indiana. smile
