Electronic, the group

I just ordered their debut CD through Ebay. Before I get it, does anyone have anyt thoughts on this group. Electronic is made up of New Order's Bernard Sumner and the Smiths' Johnny Marr. On their debut single (or at least biggest hit in America) "Getting Away With It", they are joined with the Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennet. I have actually been listening to their Launch fan station and have been hearing a lot of their stuff. I like it. It's not quite dance pop, not quite alt rock, but it's a little bit of both. I like them. Any fans, critics?

I really liked their first CD. (The self titled one)

"get the message" is a BRILLIANT song nod

For some reason, though, I never bought anything after that. Odd...

I only own the first album as well. With the exception of Get the Message, I thought it sounded like a collection of Pet Shop Boys cast-aways. Not dreadful, but pretty ordinary. I haven't listened to it in years, mind you, so I'm not basing my opinion on specifics: just my faded memories...

That's understandable since they waited five years to follow up the debut and then 3 more for the next album (a special edition was relesed in 2001, though). About ten years and only three albums but I guess their day jobs keep them busy (Marr also worked on PSB's "Release" and other albums, I'm sure).

Nightcrawler

I think, their second album, "Raise The Pressure" is their best. Kraftwerks Karl Bartos worked on it with them.
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

Hey, I was only like ten when this album came out and have only heard about it recently and you're my age.

Gasp....We're aging hipsters?

Nightcrawler. I've heard a lot of the songs from their second on Launch ad it sounded pretty good. Maybe I'll check that one out, too. Thanks.
