This song, along with On Our Own and Don't Be Cruel, is my favorite Bobby Brown song. In each case, I prefer the single version to the album version. I don't like the second verse on the album cut. It's much better with the verse repeated and the rap/beat box added to it. And I love the video! Them red socks got to go though!

I gotta hear "on our own" now. I got the remixes. Yeah good noticing on the verses on "every little step". I prefer the single version too, He phrases the same lines different though between each verse I think?

Yeah i got that video I think. Is it called "his perogative"? Funny video as it includes the mega cheese fest "grilfriend" and the pervy "girl next door", which was directed by Larry Blackmon. U can tell the song is his too.

Yeah he says shit like drugs kill and whatever. His later videos were better. "humpin' around" and "get away" are great videos choreograhy wise. Yet they are not on "his perogative".

It's all about the remix. Video and audio. This remains hot.

Yeah me too. Bobby been a thug since he was an early teen that mad boy. Thats why the ladies loved him. Trying to be all clean cut was pretty silly.

As much as I think he's a fuck-up in his personla like, I did like his music, whihc inlcudes Every Little Step, My Perogative, Don't Be Cruel. They were good jams.

Of all of the singles from the Don't Be Cruel album, this has always been the only one that I can't stand.
