Peter Cetera "the next time I fall" with Amy grant

Remember this awesome 80's song? Duet with Amy Grant, this song is killer.

I had only heard the sucky "glory of love" before. I picked up his solo "solitude/solitaire" at a car boot sale (gotta love 'em)

Anyway, this song is awesome. I looked it up in my UK hit singles book and single didn't exist, yet I found a pic of it online. Was this a big hit in the USA by any chance?

Anyway great song. Might of been a Michael Bolton song, except listener is saved from vocal gymnatics. I like Peter's voice. He does not go overboard. It is sutle.

Yeah I can totally hear it in charity shops too. Oh well.....it's sweet yet is no overblown power ballad. Who is Amy Grant? I guess it was a big hit in the USA?

wtf.

just because a song exists is not sufficient criteria to start a thread about it. are we really so desperate for things to talk about? wow.

should added after cetera etc etc.....or was that too obvious biggrin

I do do one song threads sometimes. But hey, I have not heard Petes other stuff and frankly, most the other songs are average and I only dug this song. Just curious is all. Besides, who else, but me, is gonna start a thread like this?

Well, that's probably when she was still doing Christian rock/pop (although the cover suggests a "pop" album from the eighties). In 1991, she had a full blown light pop album "Heart In Moition". I think after the Peter Ceatra deut, which she recieved a lot of criticism for from the Christian community, she kept hinting at it, but get this....I have this CD and neither God nor Jesus are thanked in the liner notes and one song seems to suggest a total dissallusion with the chruch! Kind of upbeat but not dance/club pop. Some nice light ballads. It had like 5 Top 20 hits...she had a few more hits here and there, mostly from her 1994 "House Of Love" album.

"Baby, Baby", "I Will Remember You", "Good For Me", "The Lucky One", "House Of Love", "Big Yellow Taxi", "That's What Love Is For"....Nothing?
