Remember Grath Brooks' Alter Ego, Chris Gaines?

Yep, I remember buying this record, Garth Brooks In The Life Of Chris Gaines in 2001 for that song, "Lost In You". Everytime I listen to it, it's pretty strange to me. I say to myself, who the heck was Chris Gaines?! Was he an alter ego? I like most of the tracks on this album. He dabbles in pop, rock, and even R&B. Although I've never heard a Garth Brooks record or never been a GB fan, I'm lovin' this album. I'm thinkin' about how that film, "The Lamb" was going to be if it was ever seen. Anyone remember Chris Gaines?

Shit, I found the whole thing pretty hilarious that Garth got bored w/his country western world and wanted to trade it all in for peace of prince action. And now that I think about, his material sounded much better as this damn P wannna be alter ego and had more substance. But what really tripped me out was that damn fake VH1 Behind The Music Special he did for his alter ego and the concert special on NBC nutty .

I bought it used off of amazon.com for $5 after hearing the nice song "lost in you"(nice holographic cd and cover)...my favorite off the cd is the highly recommended "driftin away"...it's not the best cd i've ever heard, but there are some really good cuts on it. don't pay full price for it and you won't be too mad. i give it a 6 out of 10
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

I can't deny it, I have the cassingle for "Lost In You." It has the Babyface touch and I like it. Prolly play it three times a year, at least.

Hmm, I just read a blurb about him...

From Parade.com, January 30, 2005

Q. Garth Brooks seems to have vanished. What’s happened to him?
—T. Long, Mobile, Ala.

A. He’s been in semi-retirement for four years—since ending his turbulent, 14-year marriage to Sandy Mahl, mother of his three girls. Garth, 42, says he misses showbiz, but being at home in Oklahoma with his daughters is worth it. He says he may return when his youngest turns 18. (That would be in 2014.) Meanwhile, Garth denies rumors of a secret marriage to his longtime musical collaborator, Trisha Yearwood, 40. If they haven’t tied the knot yet, we predict they will soon.

I loved Lost In You.

It is indeed one of the finest songs I've heard in several years. Don't hate on Garth, who is actually one of the funnier hosts SNL ever had.
