Watching the videos, I didn't realize how hot lead singer Vix had become towards the end--after they shed all the over-the-top hair and makeup. | |

Belouis Some? Nik Kershaw? King? OMG, you guys are trippin' me out. I loved KING and BELOUIE SOME. I'm a product of the 80's. The music was sooo great. Everyone sounded different. King's LOVE AND PRIDE didn't sound like Belouie's Some People. I'm going to go home and dig out all my records and transfer them to CD. Stax said: Lord huh? We have a winner. An infamous album by London scenemaker Sutch, who, among other things, claimed to be a genuine Earl and to have started the long hair craze of the '60s, and ran for Parliament on the youth ticket. His infamy bought him some heavy friends indeed for his first LP. Jimmy Page (who produced and played), John Bonham, Jeff Beck, Nicky Hopkins and Noel Redding are all on hand to support Sutch's R&B retreads ("Baby Come Back" is a steal of Roy Head's "Treat Her Right"). The album is regarded as a kind of Plan 9 From Outer Space of rock LPs: it's bad, but endearingly so, with Sutch's growling vocals providing the laughs. Many Led Zeppelin fans — who bought this album when it was released on the heels of the first two Zep records — have never forgiven Page for this. www.allmusic.com tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Terry had a completely electronic drum kit which sort of resembled a wet bar Ah, a fellow Houstonian! How well I remember seeing concerts at Atroworld back in the day (Howard Jones springs to mind!) Just a side note, Missing Persons is actually working on a new album. In fact, the reunion of this band is why Warren Cucurrullo left Duran Duran (thus, leading to the reunion of the original five members of that band). Whether it will ever see the light of day, I'm just not sure, but they are supposedly in the process of cutting new tracks, last I heard.
