who likes Barry White?

Frankly I never cared for his stuff, but this 1987 album is quite good. Once got got 1 barry album, u got 'em all i say. But this album is pretty solid. Thanx to the drum machines and keyboards used that is.

"good dancing music" is actually uptempo. "sho you right" is fun too. As is "the right night". Nice album.

I dig Barry White and the Love Unlimited Orchestra for all the opposite reasons.
Real drums, real strings (even if they were all playing in unison)...

I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby
Never, Never Gonna Give You Up
Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe
It's Ecstasy
Baby Blues
Love's Theme

At least get a decent comp...

Agree 100%. Love Barry White. To this day, u still hear in commercials actual Barry White songs or some heavy voiced motherfucker TRYING to imitate Barry.

nod Damn Right, Funk. You have to be Old School to understand the power and genius of this brotha when it comes to composing music and directing his own orchesta. Then, he made a hell of a come back before his untimely dealth.

nod I'm with Sexofit on this one.

I also own an obscure eighties album by White that kind of hooked me (1989's "The Man is Back"). I remember hearing a little bit from a song called "Follow That and See (Where It Leads Y'All") and the album really hooked me. A good mix of eighties dance pop /R&B and smoothering soul that Barry does so well. I also bought a double greatest hits CD around the same time but nothing after that.

I'd have to look out for this. I would prefer this to his 70's stuff. Too much orchastra on his classic stuff. Synth orchastra is what barry needs.
