I ordered lew's cd on teh strengffff of recommendations on here. Dude is very talented and I olike this cd alot.The first 2 cuts really have me so far.I was listening to this cd and that Fiona Apple download until I got the Fishbone live cd recently. I will go back to those because I appreciate them.

Now,"lucky" is the first cut on this cd. It so funky and smooth and unusual in its approach that it's lmost alarming. This guy sounds like Marvin on this damn thing and his control over this song is impressive.He knows what he wants to say and do and he does it with full confidence. He sings about a girl that may or may not let him"get lucky",but if she doesn't,then,she ain't getting lucky,either!Oh,shit!When have you heard an r&b singer say that??I always only hear them begging or bragging about material goods or making the girl weak in the knees.This guy is saying that he is just as valuable and golden as she thinks she is.That is sool as hell to hear in a song.And then that bass is ...yeah.But,then,his guitar licks are sexy as hell on this.This guitar playing is from a man with confidence and lust.A shy virgin couldn't play that. This is just a badass song to me!!

Anyway,I will be ordering more Lewis Taylor discs.This man has a fresh approach.I dig it.
