Donna Summer on tour this summer---who's going?

Looks like Donna Summer is going on tour this summer! She's already performed a few well-received shows in Puerto Rico and Florida, and there will be many more dates announced in the coming weeks. So far, this is what we have...

April 2 Phoenix,Arizona (Arizona Biltmore Resort)
April 11 Beacon Theatre in New York (VH1 Save The Music event)
June 26 Prior Lake,MN (Mystic Lake Casino Hotel)
June 30 Orilla,ON (Canada) (Casino Rama)
July 5 Washington,DC (Wolf Trap)
July 7 Boston,MA (Bank Of America Pavilion)
July 27 Atlanta,GA with the Atlanta Symphony (Classic Chastain)
August 4 Uncasville,CT (Mohegan Sun Arena)
August 5 Bethlehem,PA (Straub Chrysler Jeep River Palace)
August 24 San Diego,CA (Viejas Casino-Outlet Park)
August 26 Los Angeles,CA (Universal Ampthitheatre)
August 28 Saratoga,CA (Mountain Winery)
August 30 Livermore,CA (Wente Vineyards)

On this tour, she's been performing songs that she hasn't done in years..."Could It Be Magic"...."Cold Love"...."My Man Medley"...."Try Me,I Know We Can Make It"..."Once Upon A Time"....even "Love To Love You Baby"!! She also performs a tribute to Ray Charles ("Georgia On My Mind").This in addition to all of her well-known hits.I'll be seeing her on August 28 and I can't wait!

Don't worry, more dates will be announced soon. She lives in Tenessee herself,so I doubt that she would bypass the South.

It's great that she's on tour but the tickets are expensive and she isn't playing around here (yet). On the one hand, she's Donna Summer but on the other hand, she's Donna Summer so why is she charging so damn much. She is an aamzing singer but her shows aren't showy like Madonna's. I'd would go if she were playing around here and it was a decent price. Hopefully this tour will be something of a success and the result will be....you know what....

What's a cheap show to you? They're pretty reasonable here - $65 and $49.

I'd pay twice that amount to see Donna - a real singer.

I was thinking a whole new album but sadly, a greatest hits is much more likely for when an established artist hits the road and gets noticed for it. My God, Donna Summer "Gold" hasn't even collected dust! I was listening to an interview she did with Tavis Smiley for her book and "Journey:TVOBDS" CD and she commented that she had multiple greatest hits but "This one is different...". And keep in mind that was before "Gold" and the import box "Ultimate Donna Summer"!

Oh, that's reasonable. I could have sworn I saw tickets going for over a hundred! Still, all the way to Ontario...

Fortunately,in my area, the prices are only $50 and $95,which isn't too bad.But I've heard that,in some places, her tickets are really expensive. The Livermore tickets are $295 but it does include dinner before the show.

She's been to Biloxi before and if she comes back down here she might possibly come to Vicksburg, Philadelphia, Tunica, or any other place with casinos.

Before casinos, Jackson was THE place that entertainers came to in the state but now they all go to the casinos (which are miles away and a long drive). I want Donna to come to my city so I can drink, party, and really have a good time without having to worry about getting home without getting pulled over by the police. lol Casinos would really get this city jumping but these uptight people (the same ones that drive out of town to casinos) don't want them here.

I'm so "blue" living in a "red"neck state. lol

Oh please,no more Greatest Hits compilations!! I'm fed up with them.I refuse to buy any more Donna compilations. It's ridiculous the way record companies keep re-selling and re-packaging the same songs over and over and over.
