"Dont Let You Baby Catch You" - J5

I have NO complete idea why Motown did not release this wondeful original Jackson 5 as a single.

I bought "Goin Back 2 Indiana/Looking Through The Windows" set and this song is sheer classic J5! dancing jig

This goes along with other great songs like "2-4-6-8" from ABC and "Boogie Man" from Skywriter, or "Oh How Happy" from Third Album.

I really really like this song. It is catchy, classic Mike on vocals along with I think it's Marlon helping him on at the end.
Has any1 else ever heard it?

Yeah!, I have heard this song before. It is a great tune from the very underatted "Lookin' Through the Windows" LP, my favorite from Motwon. People always talk about their first 4 LP's (Diana Ross Presents, ABC, Third Album and Maybe Tomorrow) as their best, but this is right up their with those.

I read somwhere that it was recorded in one of their first album sessions for either there debut or ABC.

Another nice song from "Lookin' Through the Windows" is To Know, I love that song, one of their best ballads right up there with I'll Be There and Never Can Say Goodbye.

MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

Don't Let Your Baby Catch You is one of the best of the album, along with Don't Want to see tomorrow and I can't only give you love.

However , the album Lookin' Through The Windows is far inferior to Diana Ross Presents, ABC or Skywriter.

Wow thank you guys for the info and sharing it as one of your favorites. I am still on the quest to get the other double 1 discs that are out.

Another good track on there is "E Ni Mi Ni Mi Ne Mo (The Choice Is Yours To Pull)"

No I never heard that track. From that album?

U probably wont find "Dont Let Your Baby..." on any old p2p site. I heard Looking Through The Windows and most of the Jackson 5 albums were not avaliable as CD until Motown did the double disc releases in 2000. NOW I'm just starting to pick them up / special orders etc. headbang

Dont know which one I want next like Im in a candy store! giggle

That's from Michael Jackson's first solo LP, "Got to be There"(1972). I still have it on vinyl in very good condition.

Song Listing:
Ain't No Sunshine
I Wanna Be Where You Are
Girl Don't Take Your Love from Me
In Our Small Way
Got to be There
Rockin' Robin
Wings of my Love
Maria(You Were the Only One)
Love is Here and Now You're Gone
You've Got a Friend

Listening to these early LPs reminds you how talented MJ was. It's sad seeing him become a parody of himself.

Love that. I ordered a German pressing of this CD in January and got it finally this past month (after hearing my friend Carl's vinyl copy this past year). "Maria" is the shit.

Have any of you ever checked out the Michael Jackson Anthology, which is, in my opinion, a great sampler of his Motown solo years.

I almost bought this a couple days ago. I think I'd rather find his albums one by one.

Ben is great.

I really really want Anthology because it will save me time of looking for every single album. The only ones I have post Off The Wall from his solo set is Music & Me and Farewell My Summer Love
