This Tevin Campbell wannabe (except his voice ain't as good) dropped a neat lil' album in 1992

I never realized that some tracks have Mariah Carey songwriting input.

I love "photograph of mary" "Run back to me" (no Mariah input) and the melodramatic tearjerker "it only hurts when it's love".

I'll have to hear more of it as I just dug it out again. He co-wrote, with usual power ballad suspect Walter Afanasieff one of my fav tracks of all time, New Kid on the blocks "if u go away". For that reason alone I give him props.

The only thing I ever heard him do was a cover of "I'll Be There" on Mariah Carey's Unplugged CD.

Holy shit. Thats him in the video? Of course.....most the songs off the cd are either co-written by mariah or produced in some way. Thanx for that.

if ur a die hard MAriah fan maybe u should? Iam not but I found his album cheap. I had no idea who he was. That Walter bloke helps out too. Mariah is on most the tracks

I'll give u a rundown.

"someone to hold" is co written by her and produced by her
"photograph of mary" has her just co-producing
"Just to be close to you" is her solely producing
"always is love" hs her co-writing, co producing
"It only hurts when it's love"- co-produces
"How can we say goodbye"- co produces

On all the above tracks she is on backing vox too (except "it only hurts....." which has none!). So if bought cheap Mariah fans might dig it.

iam gonna re-name this thread for Mariah fans.

maybe. But some of the tracks r cool. And I dn't consider myself to be a big mariah fan either.
