I'm fed up with them.I refuse to buy any more Donna compilations. It's ridiculous the way record companies keep re-selling and re-packaging the same songs over and over and over. I agree -- it is time for some long overdue NEW material! I like her, I love her... but would like to hear something new. If she comes to my area (Albuquerque/Denver) I would see her concert regardless. I've just quit buying the "greatest hits" and "best of" compilations. Maybe other people have too so Donna's people said, "Get out on the road and tour, girl!"

Yeah,I am "starving" for a new Donna Summer album. Her last studio album of all-new music came out in 1991 ('Mistaken Identity').Since then,we've been getting a song here,a song there, but I want an entire CD of new songs. And I'm getting tired of buying a hits compilation just to get the one new track. There is no reason why Donna can't release a new CD.Hell,Gloria Gaynor released a new CD a few years ago,and even Donna's husband Bruce Sudano(!) managed to release a new CD independently last year. She should go to Sanctuary Records and seek a deal. They've recently released new CDs from Chaka Khan,The O'Jays and other 70s artists who had their greatest success decades ago.Things have gotten so bad that one Donna Summer fansite (foreverdonna.com) has started an on-line petition to inspire Donna to release new music!

The problem is, I think she'll stay on the road and make a killing singing her greatest hits and I would not be shocked if yet another legitmate collection comes out, with new songs! Terrible. Santuary would be an excellent home for Donna. That is where established artists who aren't in a love affair with any of the major labels tend to really shine! They'd let her do her own thing, that's for sure! But I think the constant greatest hits and her even semi-involvement in them proves she loves the major labels far too much...BTW, I'll sign that petition!

word Donna Summer might not be the most modern name in music, but one look at that outfit and she will personally stop the concert to kick you and that haircut out!

You know what makes me sad?
Your watching the concert and you turn around and think "What are all those old people doing here? It's their grandchildren who are supposed to attend concerts" And then suddenly you realise you're just one of them
