Ok, right now, let's talk about the most underrated rap group of all time..

Bone thugs n harmony !!!

Way Before, artists like Outkast or others same group, there were the first to create a new style of rapping...

I don't know WHY this group doesn't get the respect they deserve...

BAck in the day (mid 90's) Bone was SO different from the rest of the rap world...

Since them, a lot of rappers try to rap like them, or trying to sing like them... But Bone was so much better... No, they're not singing over a rap beat, or rapping over an R&B tune or sampled loop; so what exactly are they doing? What Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are doing is fascinating us with an idiosyncratic vocal style--call it harmony hip-hop...

Plus Bizzy Bone is a great fan of Prince, he sampled a lots of him, or refers to Prince a lot of times (his other nickname of Bizzy is... The Kid...)

They were okay. I don't think they made such an impact in the hip hop industry to be recognized though. I think they were good for what they wanted to do, but other than that, I think the popularity slimmed down when they had the welfare carol "first of da month", but slowly rose again when they were featured on that Mariah Carey song.

East 1999 Eternal is an oustanding album, way different from what we used to listen back in the day... But you can see the impact of their music today when you see so much rappers who try to copy their style ...

There are many groups out there that copied their style (Nelly). These guys are innovators in their own right. A lot of people found it hard to beleive that this group is actually from Cleveland considering that Eazy gave them their start.

"Crossroads" is a great song

I am one of the few people who actually still pay attention to BONE I thought. Their greatest hits is out, Im thinkin about picking that up because they were influental to Rap today. And they deserve so so much more. Their only problem is that they have got underground. I havent really heard nobody bump sume BONE since "Art Of War" album came out.


The 2 brothers (Bizzy & Lazy ) have a new album out, sadly with mild reviews.

They need a HOT producer and just wreck it. But I dont know if 2day's midtempo lame rap is ready for them again.

oddly enough, as fast they talk, i could almost understand what they were actually saying, unlike 50 cent, who speaks slow and always sounds like he has a mound of shit in his mouth

Exactly. Bone Thugs definitely have proven that you have to have talent in order to flow w/speed and still be clear. Alot of these new rap artist out here haven't quite mastered the art of rappping clearly especially the one victim you mentioned.

Bone wasn't the first to start rapping in harmonies or even to rap at high speed. Harmonies in rap go back to Fantastic 5 and the Cold Crush bros. And before Bone dropped Das EFX, Fu schnickens, and Tung Twista (twista) were doing double time flows.I did like them tho once upon a time.

Don't compare Bone to Fantastic 5 or Cold Crush...

They sound VERY different from the rest of rap world... They are unique...

This is a big difference.
And Twista sucks... He has a career only because of Bone...
