Steve Vai's Prince Shout-Out Just went to see Steve Vai at Town Hall in New York City.
At the beginning of the concert, he says "Sometimes I wish I were Prince..." Then he amends that "...no, I don't." Then he finally admits in a whisper: "...well, maybe sometimes!" Hahahaha, don't we all... Then he went on to play like a madman. He's a genius on the guitar and always shows respect for His Royal Badness. Check out Vai's latest CD "Real Illusions: Reflections". It's his LoveSexy or Rainbow Children. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

Funny.
I'm not a Steve Vai fan, but that's a pretty cool comment though. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I recently played "The Riddle" for a friend of mine, whilst it was playing this is the look he had on face ----->
I commented on a previous thread titled "Prince vs Steve Vai" how Steve composed the song "Animal" playing in a stlye he wish Prince would play. He said Prince never exploded on the guitar the way he wanted him to.

Prince has played Vai's "Tender Surrender" live a few times. I agree with Vai that Prince should really explode on the guitar. Vai knows how good a player he is, and wants to see him put it on CD. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
