Yep I like Lenny,
In fact I will be seeing him live on the 11th June and am looking forward to it.
Of course like so many other artists he has been influenced not only by Prince but by many other greats before. But I think he has proven that he is an artist in his own right.

you're not the only one. I love lenny. I like his new stuff and his old stuff i hope he swings thru phx and i can't wait to see him in that movie he's doing.

I like some of his work, I really respect him for his love of his mama. He is capable of making good songs. I just don't consider Lenny an "icon" in the sense that he has not built a great body of work (IMHO). He's a rock star, but not an all-time great. I hope he can churn out some great stuff down the line.

lenny can really hit it or really miss it.

he's got soul, but sometimes he don't know what to do with it.

When I first saw Lenny live on the "Let Love Rule" tour, I was impressed. There was an element of the past artists but he kind of made it his own. The albums have come and gone, some had some brilliance but the last album was just not working for me and it felt forced. The last time on saw him on the "5" tour, it seemed that he believed his own hype and the sound sucked, the show sucked and Lenny sucked. I'm hoping he's going to prove me wrong at the end of April but I don't have my hopes up, I'm going to see Nikka Costa.

I like him and think he is a really talented musican. Yeah, he sometimes is controled to much by his influences and yeah, his last two records where lacking in quality, but I consider myself a fan. I can understand the cricticism, though.

No, you're not the only one here that likes Lenny. However, many people here prefer people like Kylie and Janet to real musicians. I've been a fan of Lenny's forever. I like him and his music very much. Lenny is not the greatest musician or songwriter, but I like his work and he seems like a pretty good guy too.

i like Janet...so what-shes an entertainer and i can c the difference between her n Lenny who is a musician...
