Well, you know I love this list. And let me just take this opportunity to post just one pic related to the thread topic: (yes, I have a Zeppelin photo for EVERY occasion )
They're reading about themselves. Check it out, Jimmy's on the cover. Oh, and this pic is from '75. Hey Stax, where did you find this list. Do you have any of the old Creem magazines? Or is this from somewhere online? [Edited 3/25/05 3:58am] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

[Edited 3/25/05 6:29am] Got to love the shark story. There are a lot of cool articles in the Creem archives. I know. I've started to go through them now. And that shark story is different every time I hear it. Sometimes I read that it was all the members of Zeppelin involved, other times it's Richard Cole (tour manager) and that Zeppelin wasn't even there, and other times it's actually Vanilla Fudge doing the, uh, honors. This one's a whole special issue on Zeppelin. Winter '80. Wow, this the year John Bonham died. I've never read Richard Cole's book, but I've read snippets of it, and also the part about the red snapper where he claimed he was involved. I've also heard stories from Robert Plant though where he said that it was the roadies doing the groupie, and all the Zep members and their wives/girlfriends came in to watch. I don't think anyone even knows if it really happened anymore. Even if they were there. God, music really sucked before Punk.
Actually, I did like Bowie, Zeppelin, Roxy, etc. But those were few groups as opposed to the many that would later emerge. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I bet it started out as something like: John Paul Jones bought a goldfish and a groupie said it was cute or something like that.
