Rodney Jerkins gave to Brandy what he should've saved for MJ's comeback.

Brandy's Full Moon album is almost like a second cousin to MJ's Invincible. It's a shame that some of the ideas Rodney came up with for MJ, ended up being better developed on Brandy's album.

I remember the first time I heard "What About Us" - it was so different and unusual. It seems the production on tracks like "Threatened" and "Heartbreaker" paved the way for a lot of the work on Brandy's album.

"What About Us" would've made a far stronger statement for MJs comeback than "You Rock My World" did.

It's a shame Rodney didn't come up with this for MJ.

I thought his production really drug that album down. I like some of the stuff Tim did on there but Jerkins... ehh

Rodney Jerkin's production skills overall suck. He's only good for making pop-dance jiggles that all sound a like.

I still wonder what some of the tracks written for MJ by the Neptunes would have sounded like. Rock Your Body (Justin Timberlake) was written for MJ.

Dayum! "Rock Ya Body" would've definately brought MJ back. That would've been some "Moonwalker 2k" shit.

I'm sorry, but Rock Your Body sounds like the Neptunes trying to re-create MJ's Off The Wall sound as part of Justin and his labels attempt at marketting him as the next Michael Jackson.

If MJ had come up with that, everyone would've trashed him for treading old ground.

People wanted something NEW from MJ. "What About Us" was the song he needed IMO.

Huh? "What About Us" is garbage & it probably would've tanked for him like it did Brandy. Maybe "Rock Ya Body" would've been good, although it does sound like some 'Off The Wall' shit. But, 'Butterflies' was a pretty good hit considering there was really no promotion for it.

As far as I know Neptunes pitched 'Rock Your Body' to MJ's Team and he turned them down with a nice version of 'I did that 20 years ago'.

But I still think Neptunes and Mike could be a nice combo. Mike needs some catchy raw sounds like on their last NERD album or something like DaftPunk.

MJ hooking up with The Neptunes? As if he hasn't already chased trends enough. He needs to indulge in his own musical tastes.

That's the thing, he DOES chase trends. The real question.. How could he choose to collaborate with Swizz Beatz (! omfg) but not the Neptunes.
