50 Cent nets 4 top 10 hits, music lovers cower in horror with the radio off

In addition to notching a fifth week atop the Billboard Hot 100 with "Candy Shop" featuring Olivia, 50 Cent also moves 11-6 as the featured artist on the Game's "Hate It or Love It" giving him four current top 10 hits. The rapper is the first artist to do this since 1964, when the Beatles held the top five spots on the tally. barf

"Hate It or Love It" is the Hot 100's greatest airplay gainer for a second week and the second top 10 track for the two recently feuding rappers. 50 Cent is also featured on the Game's "How We Do," which falls 7-8 this week.

50's own "Disco Inferno" drops two to No. 5 and his new single "Just a Lil Bit" climbs 87-75. But it's not all good fortunes for the rapper, as "Piggy Bank," which debuted last week at No. 88, falls off the chart this week.

Besides holding sway on the Hot 100, "Candy Shop" shows few signs of slowing down on many other Billboard charts. The track is the Hot Digital Songs No. 1 for a seventh week and track tops the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Hot 100 Airplay lists for a third.

LOL - well, Hate it or Love it is a pretty cool track I must say - I wan't to find the original that they stole it from. Does anyone know where the original music is from?

But 50 does sucks, he is feeling himself 2-much.

i just don't see the originality in this guy. He spits lines like he is half asleep or something, its not like he spits it with fire like Tupac or Ice Cube, but he isn't smooth like Snoop, or Rakim..what the hell is 50 besides an "ex" drug dealer???

he sways back and forth like he doesn't know what else to do with his body. zzz

it'll be interesting to see how he will handle life after his "heyday" will be over and his songs will become overused flops debuting at #500 on the Billboard pop tart charts...

Nice thread title! This is why I retreat to extreme metal and real jazz. Ain't gonna hear that on the radio.

lol I love it, how ridiculous are these stats.

Actually, if we are talking about top 10 hits as featured artists, didn't Diddy achieve this in like March 1997?

I can't get Satelite radio soon enough! Four top ten hits (another one coming) and yet nothing sees anything wrong with the radio, huh? So far, four songs that have charted do mostly to radio off a very new album..but nothing wrong with Clear Channel.... Wow! The only reason I can defend "Candy Shop" as a hit is because at least it is the top digital single (since actual singles don't exisit anymore).
