I got the Village Green Preservation Society.
It's got that song they're using in some commercial right now--"Pictures of your mama, taken by your papa, a long time ago..." which is very catchy. The rest sounds pretty good, though it's a bit more mellow than I expected. But I think after just two listens that it's starting to grow on me. I would like to but a more upbeat one next. For an upbeat album, I must again recommend seeking out 'Face to Face.'
Or pick up the generally upbeat 'The Ultimate Collection' which includes the majority of their early rockin stuff . . . Also nice, their collected BBC performances: And if you wanna shoot for something from their later years, 'Give the People What They Want' was chock full of toe tappers.
