Not fair-Lil'Kim

Incase you didn't know, Lil'Kim has been on trial recently. SHe's been in court for the purpose of purjury.

This is lieing while in the courtroom. It appears she was on a trial earlier when she and Norega were involved in a shootout. Shesaid she wasn't a witness but she got taped on the sevurity camera.

Still she claims she didn't see the event. Anyway the convicted here and she could face up 2 20 years in prison. Kim wasn't happy and neither were her partners.

I don't think in a free country you should be thrown in prison for 20 years for saying you're not a witness to a crime. Even if she was guilty 20 years is just faaar faar FAAAR too long fpr any person to stay on lock down for disagree that they were a witness or lieing in court.

Put your 2 cents in.

It's a maximum sentence. As a first time offender, she won't get anything near that.

She deserves the penalty she got for lying to a grand jury about a murder case. How stupid can you get?

P.S. She said she wasn't a witness (a lie) but she also said two of her associates were NOT at the crime scene (whoops, they were).

I agree. 20 years is too long. You shouldn't be forced to bear witness especially when your life could be in danger as a result.

Stupid? Self-preservation is one of--if not the most primary motivating forces we have. You're right that she won't see most of that time. Again I'm assuming all she did was deny witnessing the crime.

Yup, stupid. You call it "self-preservation", I call it "stupid" - either way she fucked herself.

Well, Kim had the option to tell the truth and she chose not to.

So there you go.

I think the better phrase is either way she was fucked. Atleast she doesn't have to worry about getting killed-- when she's done her time it's over. What was "stupid" was associating with these fools in the first place. She just did what she had to do in that courtroom.

When you run with thugs, you do as thugs do -- and that's time. So enjoy it Lil Kim. Not saying it's right, but it's the nature of the game.

Lil' Kim is lucky the Supreme Court overturned the sentencing guidelines a few months back. That could have meant somewhere b/w 2-5 years minimum, w/little room for adjustments. Now a judge could sentence her to less than a year.

What will REALLY be interesting to see is whether she gets sent to a minimum security prison a/k/a Martha Stewart or whether they send her to a maz facility like most of the street folk she has claimed to be a part of in the past.

I don't envy her.

what's foul is all of her people, including the ones she lied to protect, flipping on her to save their own skins.
