The self proclaimed 'First Lady' was in top form on Tuesday as she was in LA to showcase the new album for Capitol and did an exclusive show at the Roxy.

I was fortunate enough to attend and I gotta say...Faith has never looked or sounded better! She was dressed in a pink one piece gown and was sporting straight blonde hair (actually, if you squinted your eyes or like me and just drunk...she could've passed for Mariah..with tattoos).

She was backed by a tight ass 6 piece band including backup singers as she ripped through her biggest hits and fan favorites before previewing new tracks from her new record. Two songs stood out..."Again"..the beautiful first single and 'Mesmerize' an Aretha-styled funk track (think a modern day smoothed out 'Rock Steady') that had the whole place bumpin and grindin' to the infectous beat. Through it all, her voice was impecible, pitch perfect and commanding.

It's been more than 3 years since FAITHFULLY and it was so great to see how happy and HOT she looked. She seems to have finally gotten rid of all her 'drama' and has finally come into her own.

I love Faith Evans!

That woman definitely graduated with honors from the Karen Clark-Sheard Vocal School!!!!!

It's a shame she hasn't received the recognition she deserves though. I, too, love her new song, "Again," and can't wait until the new album drops!
