Jellyfish

Anyone like this band? I believe they were from SF and they were really good. They had 2 albums which were both great and they had some cool harmonies. They never really became too popular and eventually split up some time in the 90's. I remember hearing the singer Andy Sturmer had some issues but he wrote some great pop tunes.

biggrin I Loved that group! I Had these two albums:

I loved that densely layered, lush Pop sound they had-kinda like Beatles, Brian Wilson and Queen fused together...they should've been a hit, but they came along at a time when Grunge dominated the pop music scene, they had a loyal cult following, and eventually brokeup, with some members like Jason Falkner moving off into solo projects...

You are so right. They really were a combination of those bands. They did some really interesting things musically.

Some of the guys in this band I used to be in were HARDCORE into these guys! They aren't bad, and i dont' think there's another band that does what they did. Their producer/engineer actually runs sound at a club I play at down here.
