'Give Me The Night' is a masterpiece.Such a shame that George never did another album produced by Quincy Jones.

You always pick my songs. biggrin We gotta meet someday. Another fave is the laid back on a Saturday song "Breezin." Hmmm...I didn't know Quincy produced that one. I only have the Greatest Hits, and I'm sure a couple of 45's.
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

this song of his always irritated me, it sounded too cheesy to me. I love "give me the night", "this masquerade", "on broadway", and "breezin'"..
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Back in the days George appeared on Solid Gold performing this song.

George left his guitar in the dressing room!

He was doing Michael Jackson "Dancing Machine" steps where you cross one leg behind the other and throw your head back. With REALLY shiny shoes. (Even shinier then P Diddy's old suits.) The spotlight hit his shoe and I thought they were using lasers!

Crossover success aside, he sounds great on his Absolutely Live DVD.

The first half is Velveeta but Joe Sample is playing keys live on two songs and sounds great.

Nice feel good cut. That was part of The George Benson Collection. A greatest Hits package that came out in 81. The other new song on there was "Never Give Up On a Good Thing" That's another great song. Check that out if you have never heard it.
