I mean seriously does American Idol help the music inudstry in any way??? look at the "superstars" that it turns out like:

"Fantasia"; while she may have some vocal talent she is extremely ghetto and quite annoying. she does nothing but wail and scream + her new single is merely ok.

Kelly Clarkson;i dunno whether she is punk rock or pop. when she realeased "Thankful" it had this kinda pop sound but now she's all punk rock and i still don't know what to think. and then she did that horrible movie "From Justin to Kelly" with that other jackass....

Justin Guarini: the other asshole from "From Justin To Kelly" he is a fucking shitty singer and those curls are like super Gay!!!

Clay Aiken: Barry manilow clone. besides "This is The Night" i can't think of any other good song from him. "Invisible" is one of the dumbest pop tracks i heard last year

Ruben Studdard: Overwieght R&B crooner

American idol really doesn't help the industry at all, if anything it only saturates the industry with more average, no talent entertainers who after one hit soon die away because of lack of creativity and the pure mediocrity of their ability.

Paula Abdul: is one of the worst singers evr!!

Simon; managed a bunch 'o' mediocre, lame ass, British acts

Randy: ok so maybe he's like a good manager but he doesn't have any vocal ability either and i can't think of any other bad thing to say about him right now.

Kelly Clarkson, is the only one who's doing anything interesting. Now all the winners seem to be confining themselves (or they're being confined) to a bland AC Barry Manilow career. But Kelly's Breakway album is actually pretty good - the first album by an American Idol to really define itself outside of the show's confines. Since U Been Gone is a very hooky pop song (hardly "punk rock" - whatever gave you the idea she's billing herself as a punk rocker is beyond me).

We'll see what she does next.
