Albums You're Looking Forward To In 2005

I'm looking forward to the month of May. Why?

Audioslave's new one (title to be announced) is coming out sometime during this month. I am a big, big fan of that group. Just some good ol' alternative rockin'. Can't wait to hear new songs with Chris Cornell's awesome lungs on 'em.

Nine Inch Nails is coming out with something on May 3rd I believe it is. Love them. Robert Plant, if I'm not mistaken, is also coming out with something on the 3rd. I'm pretty sure it's his own disc of bluesy material and not a Led Zep. collection.

This is all that's on the top of my head right now, but maybe I'll think of some more later.

Oh, and how can I forget? I'm looking forward to anything Prince is putting out this year...

Anything from Prince.
Beck's new album, since Sea Change was amazing.
NIN's new album, mostly out of curiosity since I know Trent's so talented.
Stevie Wonder's latest, since it's Stevie Wonder.

That's right. I forgot about Guero coming out this year. Must've slipped my mind.

Does anyone know if Jack Johnson's latest came out yet?

June?? I thought I read it would be out in April? I guess not. I'm also looking forward to his new cd, even if it's sort of another collaboration thing. I love him so much it doesn't matter. I'm also seeing him in concert in June too. thumbs up!

The M.I.A. CD is pretty good. I was able to get an advance copy after the release date was postponed.

Have you heard anything about the new Geri album? The last one only had a few decent songs but with something as fhot as "Ride It" as a single, I assume this next one will be a lot more fun. Any release date, American release, anything?

Nothing. Erasure was rumored to be involved with the album, but the story is their tracks were pulled because Geri wasn't happy with them. The first single "Ride It" didn't do as well as expected (#4 U.K.) so her tour was postponed and the CD pushed back. I believe Geri is currently rerecording much of the album.

well, one of them has already come out...

Queens of The Stone Age - Lullabyes to Paralyze

Not bad, though Dave Grohls drumming is missed bigtime. The songs are less crazy and more melodic. It starts off pretty good, but gets kind of boring and mediocre by the end of the album. I've only listened to it from start to finish a handful of times, so not sure if its gonna grow on me or not yet.

NIN - of course. They seem to be on everyone's list here.

Doves - Some Cities

This one just came out too, it's the first album I've ever picked up from them. I love the first track.
