I think she's great and I love her but what is it about her that under no circumstances should her music be played in social situations? Or is that just me? Her music is totally out there and freakishly good, but she's distinctively uncool. If I played her to any of my mates they would be like wtf is this shit? And not just guys, I know plenty of girls that would probably give the same sort of reaction. If I heard her music played in a night club I'd probably cringe myself. Maybe it's an age thing.

i dunno. i love the residents but i'd never impose them on anyone. sometimes you gotta just geek out to your own stuff.

I don't own any of her albums but a friend of mine put her on a comp disc and I really loved the song. I think tho that she might fall into the same category as Tori for me. I feel like I'm supposed to be into her but it just aint happening.

I've been listening to Kate bush for years and only heard her speak for the first time last night. It was very interesting to hear her talk and now I understand why she sings the way she does, always loved her voice. My dad has never seen a pic of her but has heard some of her songs and he thought she was Japanesse.

I think Hounds of Love is accessible, but a good primer to Kate is the song she did with Peter Gabriel "Don't Give Up"
